Our Staff

Dr.Radhika S.Gopan

As our name Tots n Teens Pediatrics implies, we treat tots, tweens and teens - children of all ages from the newborn up to 18 years young. Your care provider is Dr. Radhika S.Gopan, a Board Certified Pediatrician with several years of clinical experience.

Dr. Gopan has worked in Oman, UAE (Dubai), India and served the underserved population in South Carolina and rural part of Tennessee.

Dr. Gopan did her Residency from Brooklyn, New York and obtained a degree in medicine from Stanley Medical College in Chennai, India.

Dr. Gopan speaka fluent English and Tamil. She also speaks Hindi, some Arabic, and some medical Spanish. When she is not treating patients Dr. Gopan loves to read and practice Yoga.

Sara Schaefer received her masters in nursing from UNC Chapel Hill although she is a die-hard Blue Devils fan.

She's had more than 15 years of experience in pediatrics including emergency services and pediatric urgent care. She has also been an adjunct faculty at Duke School of Nursing and enjoys teaching. She loves empowering parents through parenting struggles and building trusting relationships with the kids. She has four of her own (all girls)! She is a passionate advocate for the advanced nursing profession and improved access to healthcare. She currently is the social media chair of the NC chapter of NAPNAP (National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners).

In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, leading women's bible studies, making cooking messes with her kids, and having date nights with her husband, Ryan.

Jacklyn Sanchez , MA

Jacklyn is a medical assistant at our office. Jacklyn brings a positive attitude to serve you and Spanish communication skills to our patients. Jacklyn takes care of our front desk, administrative and receives the patients. Jacklyn is our care coordinator.

Our Practice

We are happy you have found Tots n Teens Pediatrics. We are new at the junction of Cary -Apex - Holly Springs and southwest Raleigh. Tots n Teens Pediatrics has been started by Dr. Radhika Sadagopan aka Dr. Gopan, a Board Certified Pediatrician. Our practice believes in providing true continuity of care and we are positive that we can meet your child’s medical needs with the attention your child deserves. We hope that you will establish your child’s Medical Home with us.

Our mission is to provide personalized, comprehensive, compassionate health care services to the children of Wake county, from birth to eighteen years of age. This is a solo practice where Your children are seen by the same Pediatrician every time: such a personal relationship with your family usually difficult to achieve in a large practice.

We promise to remove the fear factor from your children's’ doctor's office visits. They are set to meet friendly staff on a fun filled visit. Two good reasons why you will not find white lab coats here!

Best Pediatrician for 2015

We are pleased to inform that Indyweek.com has awarded BEST PEDIATRICIAN for Year 2015 in the Triangle Area to Dr.Gopan based on a polling survey. Thanks to our patient community for their outstanding support and encouragement during all these years.

SURVEY RESULTS

We are pleased to inform you that we have met our goal in improving the number of children between 7 and 8 years of age that received the preventive exam . In 2012, 62% of our 7 to 8 year old patients had had their preventive exam . In 2013, the percentage of our 7 to 8 year olds that have had preventive exam have gone up to 72%. Our target was to increase to 70%, and we have exceeded this goal. This goal could not have been achieved without your hard work and dedication !

We also have the results of the patient survey that our office conducted earlier this month .94% of our patients have stated that they receive information about after hours care coordination from us. This could not have been done without the support of our staff. We thank you for all your hard work and please keep it up. We should strive to achieve 100% in this measure in the future.
